ProSum
ProSUM (Prospecting Secondary raw materials in the Urban mine and Mining wastes) is an EU funded project focusing on how waste can be utilised as a source of raw materials. Geological Survey Ireland contributed Irish data and expertise on mining waste to the project.
MICA
MICA (Minerals Intelligence Capacity Analysis) is an EU funded project that aims to combine raw materials knowledge from many fields of expertise to support strategic decision making. This includes policies, mineral market trends, technological trends, environmental issues, social impacts etc. Geological Survey Ireland contributed Irish data and expertise on minerals and mining to the project.
Minerals4EU
Minerals4EU is an EU funded project which established the current EU minerals intelligence network structure. The project collects and publishes raw materials data and knowledge from across Europe in a harmonised form. The data is published via a web mapping portal, an online library of relevant documents and a European Minerals Yearbook. Geological Survey Ireland contributed Irish data and expertise on minerals and mining to the project.
