Conceptual models

When there are contrasting hydrogeological regimes within the surface water catchment, the catchment is divided into different hydrogeological zones from a water resources point of view. Those zones are based on natural physical and anthropogenic setting, and on available site specific monitoring data.

The recharge potential zones provide the basis for further more detailed (field) investigations to assess the resource availability.

This example is for the Barrow catchment.
