Geoscience Ireland, the business cluster run in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, has seen the 36 member companies grow their businesses to reach almost €1bn in turnover and 3,675 staff. Significantly, of the 1,103 jobs created since the cluster commenced in 2012, 835 are with the cluster's SME members.

The Strategic Review recommends focus on the evolving challenges of Brexit, finding talent to sustain growth and increased collaboration among the member companies to win work overseas.

Geoscience Ireland is funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, with support from Enterprise Ireland and the Departments of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and Business, Enterprise & Innovation and has been included as an exemplar case study in the Government Action Plan for Jobs.
