Therefore, accurate radon risk maps help public authorities to prioritise areas where mitigation actions should be implemented. As the main source of indoor radon is the soil where the building is constructed, maps derived from geogenic factors.
GWFlood Project: Monitoring, Modelling and Mapping Karst Groundwater Flooding in Ireland

This report provides an overview of the Landslide Susceptibility Project being undertaken by the Geological Survey, and can be read as a lay user guide to the output Susceptibility maps. There are two main strands to the study: the extension of the landslide inventory and the development of national landslide susceptibility mapping.

The past half century of mineral exploration and research activity in Ireland has generated a considerable amount of lithostratigraphic data. Philcox (1984) produced an extremely valuable compilation of this work in an Irish Association of Economic Geology (IEAG) publication titled 'Lower Carboniferous Stratigraphy of the Irish Midlands'.
