The Soils of Ireland

​The Soils of Ireland provides a comprehensive overview of soil and soil studies in Ireland. It presents a complete set of data, pictures and maps, including benchmark profiles. 

Geological Survey Ireland scientists Mairéad Glennon, Ray Scanlon, Vincent Gallagher and Brian McConnell are co-authors on three sections of the book.

The book is published by Springer and was produced with the support and sponsorship of Teagasc and the Environmental Protection Agency. The book was launched on Thursday 28th June 2018 at Department of Agriculture buildings, Johnstown Castle, Co. Wexford.
