​Geological Survey Ireland sponsors Fulbright Ireland awards for geoscience researchers based in Ireland to travel to the US.  More information is available here.

The Fulbright Irish Awards provide grants and
support for Irish citizens, and for EU citizens who have been resident in ROI
for 5+ years, to research, study, or lecture in the USA.

Opportunities
are available in all disciplines. The Fulbright Commission in Ireland
strives to ensure that its programmes reflect and value the diversity of Irish
and U.S. societies. Equity steps to support this intent include the provision
of interviews for shortlisted candidates and assessment beyond academic
