Projects

Collaborations with national and international partners on funded programmes designed to enhance the public's understanding of geological heritage.

We often act as partners in large multi-agency or multi-national projects to bring long-term  benefits to specific areas of geoheritage importance in Ireland or to improve best practice in methods of public engagement in geoheritage.

County Audits are part of our ongoing programme of auditing sites of geological importance as defined by the Irish Geological Heritage themes.  Much of the country is now complete and more information on this is available in the activities section of Geoheritage in this website.  The current County Audit for 2017 is Galway West.

Current County Audit - Galway West
