The Terra Soil project is a joint research effort between Geological Survey Ireland and Teagasc. Terra Soil uses soil samples from the Tellus project to identify farming and environmental signals. In simple terms, farming indicators (agronomic) are measures that can tell us about the health and productivity of the soil for crop growth. Environmental indicators, on the other hand, are measures that give information about the overall health of the environment, including factors like soil pollution or biodiversity.

Here you can download GIS data relating to Terra Soil or view pre-made maps. There are also scientific publications in PDF format and FAQs.
