Geoscience Ireland (GI) is pleased to welcome Billy Moore to its Panel of Independent Experts.
Billy holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Degree, a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Environmental Protection and a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA). He worked for over 26 years in local government in Ireland, including 6 years as County Engineer in Monaghan County Council.
Since 2003 he has operated as a freelance consultant for a variety of clients in Ireland (e.g. FAS, An Bord Pleanala, LASNTG, UCD, DIT, BAM PPP Co. and various local authorities). His overseas projects focused on Eastern Europe and Asia for International Financial Institutions (e.g. EBRD, EIB/Jaspers, SIDA, World Bank/IFC) and Government Ministries. He has co-written a number of successful submissions (e.g. approach and methodology) for international companies bidding for EU projects.
He has worked in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Commenting on Billy Moore’s inclusion on the Panel, GI Director of Business Development Sean Finlay said;
“Billy Moore brings a wealth of experience in environmental engineering, waste management, water services and transportation to Geoscience Ireland. He has had a distinguished career with the public service in Ireland and as a consultant to IFIs and EU agencies, particularly in the Balkans and in Central Asia. His experience will add considerably to GI’s skill base.”
