The Tellus Programme is pleased to announce the release of new topsoil geochemical data for the G7 and G9 survey blocks, covering the southeast of the country (see map below). A total of 2820 soil samples were collected between 2020 and 2022, with a sampling density of approximately one sample per 4km2 (one sample per 2 x 2km grid square). Following extensive laboratory analysis and data checking, the results are now available for download.
This work is part of the Tellus national geochemistry survey which has been collecting soils from across the country since 2011 and is managed by Geological Survey Ireland. Further geochemical data from the rest of the country will be released over the coming years.
