GSI facilitate AGS (Association of Geotechnical & Environmental Specialists) data exports - TAGS (Tool for AGS)

Published:

The GSI in collaboration with GDG Ltd (Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions Ltd.) have developed a tool to query the GSI Geotechnical Database, map the data into its corresponding fields in AGS 4.0 data format, and provide an export of the information into an AGS 4.0 data file. A detailed explanation of the overall project and background is detailed here.

Using the Geotechnical report number, as identified using the Geotechnical online viewer http://spatial.dcenr.gov.ie/GeologicalSurvey/GeoTechnicalViewer/index.html, the GSI can provide the AGS 4.0 output file.

Note:

The AGS Data format allows for seamless sharing of data between different software used within the geotechnical/geo-environmental industry. Typically the data is generated by a ground investigation contractor, laboratory or on-site drilling crew or technicians and then passed to all project team members.
