Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards 2019

Published:

Established in 2010 to showcase and celebrate engineering innovation and excellence, 2019 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards. The Geoscience Ireland Award – now in its fifth year – is now open to applicants.

The Award recognises exceptional achievement in design and/or delivery of projects requiring significant geo-scientific expertise. For example, involving geological, geochemical, geophysical, geotechnical or hydrogeological studies or projects in the development of natural resources, infrastructure and water services preferably but not exclusively in international markets.

Collaboration among different organisations is common practice on projects in the geoscience field, therefore we welcome joint entries to this award.

Past winners include:

2018: Northern Spire Bridge by Roughan & O’Donovan

2017: UMASW by APEX Geoservices Ltd and School of Civil Engineering, University College Dublin

2016: Irish Rail Cutting & Embankment Decision Support Tool by Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions & Irish Rail Iarnród Éireann

2015: Ballaghaderreen Bypass Project by JB Barry and Partners.
