The Monitoring Coastal Erosion from Space Workshop will take place on the 10 December 2020, between 9:45 am and 1 pm.

This workshop is a free event specifically aimed at Irish Coastal stakeholders, including coastal managers, planners, local authority engineers, conservation officers, researchers and coastal users from other disciplines.

The European Space Agency (ESA) funded "Coastal Erosion from Space" project has developed new innovative methods to develop highly accurate coastal mapping going back 25 years. Geological Survey Ireland is a partner in this project (2019-2021).

In this workshop, we will collaboratively explore how Monitoring Coastal Erosion from Space can contribute to better managing Coastal Change and Flooding Risk to communities, businesses and infrastructure in Ireland.
