​BUA Group - a leading food, cement and infrastructure conglomerate - has acquired the majority stake in PW Nigeria Limited. PW is one of the largest construction, engineering and mining companies in Nigeria.

Abdul Samad Rabiu, Executive Chairman of BUA, said, "This acquisition marks the beginning of the next phase of our medium-term strategy for our infrastructure business", and that the PW acts as an investment in business areas including mining, quarrying and construction.

PW Nigeria was founded in 1948 in Ireland and began operating in Nigeria in 1974. PW joined Geoscience Ireland in 2016 and actively collaborates with GI Member Companies at key conventions including the Mining INDABA, Cape Town, and the PDAC trade show, Toronto.
