Our annual Geoscience conference took place on Tuesday, 12 November at the Printworks Conference Centre at Dublin Castle.
The conference brought together representatives from different organisations including the Marine Institute and Environmental Protection Agency, as well as Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications staff to discuss issues and solutions to the challenges we are currently facing on planet Earth.
There were over 60 academic posters showcasing the research funded or part-funded by Geological Survey Ireland. Oonagh Buckley, Secretary General, Department of the Environment Climate and Communications (DECC), gave the keynote speech for the first session of the day; 'Science for Policy'.
