Talk overview:
The webinar will discuss the mapping of the
seafloor and collection of datasets. Beginning in the shallow water of inshore
Ireland, we'll look at how (and why) INFOMAR collects bathymetry data, the
shipwrecks and features that are revealed and what the data is used for. We'll
then discuss GEBCO and global mapping efforts, before finishing up with
discussing the Five Deeps Expedition and the search for the deepest parts
of Earth.
