​​Soils of Ireland provides a comprehensive overview of soil and soil studies in Ireland, and presents a complete set of data, pictures and maps, including benchmark profiles. GSI scientists Mairéad Glennon, Ray Scanlon, Vincent Gallagher and Brian McConnell are co-authors on three sections of the book.

The book is published by Springer​ and was produced with the support and sponsorship of Teagasc and the Environmental Protection Agency. It was launched on Thursday 28th June at Department of Agriculture buildings, Johnstown Castle, Co. Wexford.
