On 15 December 2019 at 21:19:52 local time, a magnitude 2.5 earthquake occurred in the Irish Sea approximately 90 km north-east of Dublin and 40 km south of the Isle of Man. The earthquake was detected by the Irish National Seismic Network (INSN). The INSN is operated by the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS) in co-operation with Geological Survey Ireland.
