​The newly-established NUI SEG Student Chapter will have their inaugural evening lecture by Prof. Murray Hitzman Director of the Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences (iCRAG) who will talk about 'Challenges and Opportunities for Economic Geologists in the 21st Century'.

The NUI SEG Student Chapter is a student branch of the Society of Economic Geologists at the National University of Ireland. Membership is open to earth science students at all NUI Member Institutions (UCC, UCD, Galway, Maynooth). The main objectives are to connect geoscience students across NUI Institutions to the professional geological community of Ireland and beyond, to support early-career geoscientists and promote the skills needed to be successful in economic geology. 

Where: Room G01, UCD School of Earth Sciences, University College Dublin.

When: Today at 6.00 pm. Tea and biscuits will be served from 5.30 pm.
