The Geopark Academy 2024 on 25 and 26 of May, is an event that marries research with community engagement, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Burren College of Art. Set in the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, the event spans two days and consists of a variety of sessions and a fieldtrip.
Day 1 Highlights: A series of talks at the Burren College of Art will cover topics from geology and archaeology to ecology and modern music production, featuring experts like Dr. Eamon Doyle and Geological Survey Ireland's Felim O'Toole.
Day 2 Fieldtrip: A guided tour through historical sites including Kilfenora and Lemenagh Castle, led by local experts, offers a deep dive into the area's rich history.
