​​The seminar theme is “Collaborating for Better Marine Resource Management”, and it aims to provide an open, informative and engaging platform bringing together Ireland’s key marine stakeholders. The format will include quality presentations, demonstrations, networking opportunities and the launch of Ireland’s newest research vessel, The R.V. Mallet.

  • Coastal Mapping and Collaboration;

  • Delivering For Europe & The North Atlantic;

  • Interactive Session and Poster Presentations;

  • Developing Ireland’s Marine Economy;

  • Research and Resource Development with Practical examples.

This year INFOMAR and the GSI are hosting a forward looking Workshop in tandem with the INFOMAR seminar; organised by the European Marine Sand and Gravel Group (EMSAGG) the workshop will take place during the afternoon of 16th November. The theme of this event will be: "Opportunities for the Future". Please see programme. Registration for this event is free, but places are limited, please follow this link to register with EMSAGG.

After presentations there will be an opportunity to join a tour of the MaREI Centre for Marine and Renewables Energy's LIR National Ocean Test facility.

 

More on EMSAGG: The European Marine Sand and Gravel Group (EMSAGG) was formed in 1998 to share knowledge on policies and practices relating to mapping, licensing, execution and monitoring of marine sand and gravel with particular regards to environmental protection and wider sustainability imperativeness. This event will provide delegates with an opportunity to evaluate approaches to marine dredging and relevant policy and legislation in UK and Ireland. It will also provide delegates with the opportunity to meet and share experience with EMSAGG members from Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.
